FamAid Privacy Policy
FamAid stores the family health records you enter on your device. This policy states what the app collects, what leaves the device, and what does not.
- Effective
- 31 October 2026
- Version
- 1.0
- Applies to
- FamAid 1.0.1, Android
In short
- Health records are stored in a local SQLite database on your phone.
- There is no FamAid account and no FamAid server holding your health data.
- We do not sell personal data.
- The app contains no advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDK.
- Google Play processes payments; RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase status.
- The local database is not encrypted at rest.
1. Scope and identity
This policy applies to the FamAid Android application, package com.adhishtanam.famaid, and to the FamAid pages served at famaid.adhishtanam.com. It does not replace the privacy policy for the wider Adhishtanam Research website, which is published at adhishtanam.com/privacy-policy.
The data controller is Adhishtanam Research LLP. Contact details are in section 14.
2. Information you enter
FamAid records the information you type into its forms. The categories, as implemented in version 1.0.1, are:
| Record | Fields |
|---|---|
| Family member | Name, date of birth, relationship, ailments, phone, email |
| Medication | Name, dosage, frequency, start and end dates, notes, notification preference |
| Health metric | Blood pressure, blood sugar, timestamp |
| Doctor | Name, specialisation, registration number, hospitals, phone, email, notes |
| Care task | Title, description, due date, completion state |
| Document | File name, file path, document date, linked member |
Some of this is health information about you and about other people in your household. Enter information about another person only with their knowledge, or as their parent or guardian.
3. Where the data is stored
Every record is written to a SQLite database named FamAidDB in the app's private storage on your Android device. The app has no account system, no backend API, and no server-side database. Adhishtanam does not receive the records you enter.
Uninstalling FamAid or clearing its storage deletes the database from the device. If Android backup is enabled in your system settings, the operating system may include app data in your Google account backup. That backup is controlled by your Google account settings, not by FamAid.
4. Device permissions
- Notifications. Used for local medication reminders scheduled on the device. FamAid does not register a push token and does not operate a notification server.
- Storage. Declared for document references. The file picker is not wired in version 1.0.1, so the app does not read files you have not entered manually.
- Internet. Used by the Google Play Billing and RevenueCat SDKs to load plans and validate purchases. Health records are not transmitted by the app.
5. Purchases
Paid plans are sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment and receives the payment method and billing details; Adhishtanam does not receive card numbers or bank details.
RevenueCat validates purchases and reports entitlement status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID generated by its SDK, the product purchased, purchase and entitlement status, and technical information needed to validate the transaction, such as app version, platform, and country. It does not receive your health records.
Google Play and RevenueCat handle data under their own policies. See the Google Privacy Policy and the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
6. Analytics and advertising in the app
FamAid version 1.0.1 contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no third-party tracking SDK. We do not build an advertising profile from the app, and we do not sell app data.
7. The FamAid website
This policy page and the FamAid product page are served from Adhishtanam's website infrastructure, not from inside the app. The website uses two measurement systems:
- Google Analytics 4. The site loads GA4 under measurement ID G-F6JCV6T7RM. It sets first-party cookies such as _ga, and records page views, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser information, and interaction events.
- First-party telemetry. The site loads a telemetry SDK from auth1.adhishtanam.com and posts page views, clicks, and scroll events to our own collector. The collector derives the visitor IP from the Cloudflare request header. This data stays in Adhishtanam's collection stack and is used for aggregate traffic analysis.
- Local storage. The light or dark theme you choose is stored in your browser's local storage.
Cloudflare delivers the site and processes request metadata such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL for delivery, caching, and security.
No health record from the FamAid app is sent to the website, to Google Analytics, or to the telemetry collector.
9. Security and retention
The SQLite database is not encrypted at rest. Android's app sandbox prevents other apps from reading it on a normal, non-rooted device, but anyone who can unlock your phone can open FamAid and read the record. Use a screen lock and keep device backups private.
Records remain on the device until you delete them, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Adhishtanam retains no copy. Website telemetry and analytics are kept only as long as needed for aggregate traffic analysis. Purchase records held by Google Play and RevenueCat follow their retention policies.
10. Your choices and data deletion
You can edit or delete records inside the app, disable notifications in Android settings, and turn off device backup in your Google account settings.
Deleting all FamAid data: uninstall the app, or open Android Settings, choose Apps, FamAid, Storage, and Clear storage. This deletes the local database. FamAid holds no server-side account or database, so there is no separate deletion request to file. If you have questions about deletion, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
To stop a subscription, use Google Play, Subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
11. Children
FamAid is intended for adults managing a household. It is not directed at children, and it has no account creation or social features. A parent or guardian may enter health information about a child in their care. If you believe a child has entered personal information without appropriate consent, contact us.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data, and to object to certain processing. For app records, those rights are exercised directly on the device: the data is in the app and nowhere else. For website analytics, purchase data held by Google Play or RevenueCat, or any question about this policy, contact us at the address below. We will explain what we hold and how to exercise the right.
13. Changes to this policy
We will update the effective date and version at the top of this page when the policy changes. Material changes will be stated on this page. Continued use of FamAid after an update means you accept the revised policy.
